Refit:  Winter 2008-2009

Winter 2008-2009 Refit | Saturday, January 10, 2009

I began my immediate painting prep by solvent-washing all the areas where needed to install masking tape, to remove a light layer of dust and ensure that the tape would stick properly.  Then, I spent several hours masking around the nonskid areas and hardware as required, after which I vacuumed and solvent-washed the entire deck to prepare for the first coat of nonskid.  I was sorely tempted to apply the first coat today, but it was later than I wanted and I figured it was best to wait till tomorrow rather than rush things now.
