Site Updates:  January 2008

Shortly after posting a long list of excuses why I might have trouble updating and reconfiguring the pages on this website, I got to work.  The problem I'd had before related to some issues with a new menu style that I'd auditioned for the head of each page; I couldn't get the menu to work properly in various sections of the site.  I won't go into any depth describing the problems, but I came to the conclusion that I simply needed to trash that menu idea and come up with something simpler, intuitive, and easier to configure throughout the site.

The results now appear before you.  I've refreshed every page on this site (at least I think so) with new navigational structure, a consistent appearance between all pages, and other minor changes.  I hope that these changes make all the pages in the site more accessible, more useful, and easier to maintain in the long haul.

There's still work ahead:  I'd still like to edit and rewrite many of the pages to enhance their readability, and many of the initial project pages require an update section to better inform you as to what has worked well, what I might change if I were doing it again, and so forth.  I have no timetable for completing the re-editing of these pages, but will continue to press forward as time allows.

But for the moment, I feel better about the site, and might even relax a bit and refrain from spending all my spare moments frantically reconfiguring pages.

If you have any questions, comments, or display issues, please let me know.  Thanks.
